Katie needs your support!

Katie Knell of Mount Juliet, Tennessee has been nominated by her teachers to represent West Wilson Middle School and the state of Tennessee at the Junior National Youth Leadership Conference (Jr. NYLC) to be held in Washington, D.C. this summer.

This important opportunity is offered to 5th and 6th graders across the country who demonstrated maturity, academic excellence and are considered to have strong leadership potential. Attending this program will help her develop leadership skills by meeting, and learning from, important leaders from the past and present.

Imagine if you had been given an opportunity for this kind of experience when you were twelve years old and were unable to participate for lack of funds.

Katie's participation in the conference depends on whether she can raise $2,000.00 in sponsorships. Her tuition is due by May 16, 2008.

Your sponsorship support of any amount is greatly appreciated!

You can purchase (1) bouquet of lollipops for $5.00..each bouquet contains 5 lollipops. I bought 2 bouquets this morning at Stylemasters Ltd, 11381 Lebanon Road #B, Mount Juliet

or

You can contact Katie at: ejknell@comcast.net to purchase some of these yummy bouquets!

Hurry! Get your lollipops today and let's send Katie to Washington, D.C.

Just stopping in to say Hi and introduce myself. I recently came across your blog & have been checking in regularly.

The first thing that drew me to your blog was seeing that you were from TN. I am from IN, but my son recently moved to the Nashville area to pursue a career. And, actually, he lives in Mount Juliet.
So, when you posted about the little girl from Mount Juliet, that really peeked my interest.

I have enjoyed reading your blog.
I pray you have a blessed week-end.

Sincerely,
Jackie Carl

That was super sweet of you to post abt Katie Knell! Her mom told me you do not even know them and just did it just because! We need more people in the world like you! I have known Katie "Cakes" since she was born though sadly I have not seen her in over 5 years. She truly is a special little girl...well almost teenager now and I know she will be a great rep at the conference! I know she has already thanked you but I just felt like thanking you as well for just being a great person! Have a wonderful week!
