More...{Birthday} celebration & etc!

I picked Trae up from school yesterday & took him to Cinco De Mayo for an early dinner before he left for his dad's house..& of course I had to tell the waiter that is was Trae's birthday..this photo was the main objective..Hee hee! This time the whipped cream got *up his nose*..OMG..it was hilarious!!!

After Cinco De Mayo..Izabelle had class @ 5pm..it was not a normal class..I paid $5.00 for her to break as much wood as she could..she has been pumped for over a week & has been waiting for this day..she had a {blast}! She broke *6* boards!

And...totally off of the subject..I thought since Doris is doing fall..I thought that I would do Christmas! {I just finished this l/o..it will go toward my 25 by August} **wink** Anyone want to do Thanksgiving?

Happy Birthday to.....

{Trae}..he is 16 today! We celebrated last weekend..we took him to a restaurant of his choice{Johnny Rockets @ Opry Mills Mall..none of us were impressed..but hey we tried it} and we bought him a Nintendo DS..he was thrilled! We had cake on Wednesday afternoon..he leaves to visit his dad today for the weekend..so we celebrated a little early this year.

Man..he blew {all 16} candles out in one blow..I couldn't believe it.

He will be taking his driver's permit test on Wednesday..he failed the first one..because of his eyes..they are getting so bad..it really scares me..so I took him Tuesday to get an exam and new frames {tried to talk him into contacts & the Dr. even put one in his eye to show him how it felt..but NOOOOO..he is sticking with his glasses}..so his glasses will be ready on May 1st.
So after he gets his driver's permit..he has to wait 6 months before he gets a driver's license..so looks like Trae will be gettin' a vehicle around November..Trae & Rich have been looking {a lot} at different vehicles..so Rich will have an idea what Trae likes..when he comes across a great deal. Trae wants a *Brand New 'Stang*..but our insurance will be c-r-a-z-y expensive..so that is o-u-t! I think he will be tickled just to have his own vehicle when the day comes. *smile*

Everyone..wish my {sweet baby boy}..{*he will always be my baby*} a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!






I left my Easter topiaries & wreath up...'cause it doesn't say Easter..and pretty pastel eggs...mean SPRING..right? So they will be in my kitchen until Summer...Hee Hee!

Baby's {First} Easter..l/o

I finished this last night or {actually this morning @ 12:30am}..I am entering it into a contest today for a chance to win a $25.00 gift certificate!

yesterday the 16th..I am late because Taekwondo class wore me out last night..no more trouble sleeping that is for sure!
Mattie has a tooth coming in! Bottom {her left}..we found it Sunday night..just saw a small slit..but today we can see some white showing.
Rich has been hunting for a bouncy seat..that hooks to the ceiling...or atleast you can mount it there if you want..he only could find the ones that hook onto the molding in a doorway {we don't have molding in our doorway}..finally he found one that is free standing and sits on the floor @ {MJ}Target. The FisherPrice Rainforest Jumperoo..she loves it..we tried it out while we were in Target..Rich took the display down and put it in the floor..then we sat Mattie in it..I mean hey..you gotta make sure she likes it before you spend $80.00 on it..right? Shoppers were just looking at us..and laughing. I think they were in agreement with us testing it first. Ha!
Oh..and I found the Earth's Best organic baby food that we feed Mattie @ Target for like 1/2 the price of Kroger's Earth's Best..WOW! New shopping place for that!
Anyhoo..that is what has been going on here at the LaFaye's..we went to {MJ} DQ yesterday..I got the Strawberry Cheesequake Blizzard, Trae & Izabelle got a Vanilla Shake. YUMMMM!
I fussed at the owner {D:} a little *wink*..I don't understand why they put drink lids down over the blizzards..it just smooshes the icecream down the sides..so from now on I just need to order it without the lid when ordering.


Mattie's favorite thing to do is: Patta-Cake. She does this at least 100 times a day..it is more like a happy clap..'cause she does it when she is happy/excited..which is usually every minute of everyday.

Ok..besides eating like a pig {Hee}!

I started Taekwondo last night..whew..and I am feeling it tonight. Sore in my legs. We ran 10 laps..I was ready to quit at 8 laps..we did the splits..I did well..my instructor said so..that made me feel good..he also compared my kicking (with my left foot) to his 19 year old son that is a black-belt..that really made me feel good..I already know my first form..well part of it..I guess I will test in a few months..I get to break wood! I am not in the same class as Izabelle..I go to the adult class. So anyone want to join me? $79.00 a month..includes a free uniform!

Easter {with Papa} 2007

I wish that Easter would have been warmer. It was in the 20's Easter morning! After Sunday school the girls and I quickly changed out of our dresses into something warmer..then we {all} went to my grandfather's cousin's house for their 14th Annual Catfish Fry. It was "all-right"..but no comparison to Papa's catfish & homemade hush puppies. Izabelle went on {2} egg hunts this weekend while we were visiting. Between Trae, Izabelle & Mattie there was so much Easter loot..we barely got it in the truck to come home!

The kids and I left on Friday to visit Papa..Rich drove in on Sunday morning in a Mini Cooper..before we left yesterday..we had Papa get in the Cooper to get silly pics..he was making racing noises while behind the wheel.

Wall of clocks!

O.K. we finally hung the giant clock hands from Pottery Barn that I purchased on 1-13-07. I was looking for a nice shelf and I found one at Hobby Lobby. The photo on the shelf is my Great-Grandmother..Willie Omega {April 1, 1889 - July 4, 1975}. I plan on putting more ancestors pics there.

Sunday..our subdivision had an Easter egg hunt and also had pictures taken with bunnies. Izabelle & Trae were gone for the weekend..so we took Mattie up there for pictures. I took around {25} pictures..she is so cute!!
The dress & bonnet she is wearing is from A.C.T.G.F. (The dress is size 18 months!)
