The Travelin' LaFaye's are coming!

Rich's parents should be here in the morning! We can't wait to see them. The kids are so excited. Two sets of grandparents within one week...they love it! Also they will have with them Gram'(she is Rich's Great-Grandmother), she is in her 90's...and full of spunk. They have been R.V.-ing since May, just driving around the country enjoying life and retirement. I will get to take my 33 week pic with them!!!!!!!! Hopefully they WILL stay until Mattie arrives..Rich is going to do his best to convince them to stay. Rich is very good at this..let me tell ya.
I have signed me and my mom-in-law up for the CROP on 7-7-06!!! See ya'll there.

The Flower Tea Room

Mom and I had the chicken salad sandwich. Izabelle had a plain ham sandwich, we also had scones with cream and hot Earl Grey Tea with splenda (bring your own they do not have splenda) & milk. Then for dessert, we ordered vanilla icecream with fudgy chocolate cake. Izabelle was a little disappointed with the presentation, she is used to the little tiny finger sandwiches with assorted tiny desserts and fruit and cheese and plain scones with cream and fresh stawberry jam. So I learned today(it was our first time here) to order(24 hours in advance here) the BRITISH HIGH TEA from 2p-4p. That is what we were looking for. The tea room was very nice though..very pretty and girly inside. Very good service.

32 weeks pic with Mom & Dad from Texas

Everyone this is my Father & Mother(Stepmother). But to me, she is my Mother and the best Mother in the entire universe. They got in last night around 9:00pm. I get to keep them until Saturday morning! I am so happy that I got to take this 32 week pic with them! Today Izabelle, Mom & I are going to The Flower Tea Room, we have reservations @ 12:00. Izabelle is very excited to be having tea with her Guelita. We are going to have too much fun and take lots & lots of pictures.

Anniversary Dinner Last Night

Pic of our 3rd year anniversary @ Red Lobster. Rich's boss, the Used Car Director gave us a $60.00 gift certificate for dinner here. We enjoyed ourselves very much..I was glad to have my husband home where we could actually have dinner all together.
He bought me an anniversary card that read:

Three Years Ago Today...

I said I DO to this wonderful man! After many years of poor choices of men, I let "Jesus Take The Wheel" and God sent me Rich. Thank you God! I love, love, love this man. I am the happiest women on earth. We merged our little ready made family and became one(all 4 of us). I am so thankful for Rich and all that he does for us. Looking forward to many, many years together!

Labor Of Love Class

Last night was our first "Labor of Love" class. We mostly got to know eachother(there were a lot of couples)! Our teacher was nurse Kathy RN, the same lady that taught "Just For Me Sibling Class". I really like her. Last night I found out that she has had 7, yes 7 children NATURALLY! I want to be like her...but not have 7 children, maybe 4 or 5. Any hoo..I thought that was just amazing, everyone in the class did also. We did tour the hospital (Centennial Womens), very nice hospital..we will have Mattie at Summit though. We did learn one breathing technique last night..cannot remember the fellas name, but this technique has been around for like 70 years, apparently there aren't any breathing techniques that have been good enough to carry through for that many years. He taught us/moms and dad/coaches to learn to relax the entire body one part at a time until the entire body has no tension at all. Also to go to a place that brings back a nice memory by using a phrase or just a word/color, etc. Guess what color I used(couldn't think of a phrase) Yep! PINK. I will try it more this week for homework and see if I can learn to relax. I remember Dana telling me and Ruth also that they almost slipped into another time/place..during natural childbirth. It was like they were really in their happy place. I want to learn to do that!
Gotta go for now...need to get the house cleaned up! All 3 levels(yuck), way too much housework, but I have Trae & Izabelle to help. I will just hand them their chore list and let 'em rip! My parents(father & stepmother) will be here Thursday evening! I can't wait to see them. They drove from Texas to Michigan for my Uncle's funeral, and will be coming back through to visit us.

Buca Di Beppo

Rich and I went to Buca Di Beppo in Cool Springs this afternoon for Father's Day lunch..and oh my goodness, it was awesome! This was our first visit. We will be visiting again real soon. Rich really enjoyed himself, he said that was the best Italian Sausage he had ever eaten. I forgot the camera..so no pics to post.

Father's Day @ The LaFaye's

After trying to keep Toto LaFaye calm..because he knows(I don't know how this dog knows but he does) it is Sunday/Lake Day. Rich takes Toto to the lake every Sunday morning. I managed to get this breakfast together for Rich. Egg & Cheese Burrito with Rich's favorite Rooster hot sauce and pancakes and milk and his Father's Day card with 1 year subscription to Sports Illustrated. Here we go to take breakfast to Rich in bed upstairs.

And to all of my scrappin' buddies.........Yes, my dishes are pink! LOL




BIG SMILE from the (very soon) Dad to be!!! I know this made his day. He works so hard to keep this house running..He deserves breakfast in bed every day of the year. I will need to work on that!

Izabelle got her hair cut yesterday afternoon. Doesn't she look cute!?

Huge Blackberries!!

Are these not the biggest blackberries you have ever seen!? The lady at the roadside market said they were tame blackberries. I guess that is the difference between the ones I have always picked. We picked up a Sugar Baby seedless watermelon, some tomatoes(I have to go get some cottage cheese to eat with these babies) and some Peaches and Cream corn.

Sleeping Angels

Izabelle (9), Brylee (7 1/2 months) sleeping like angels. Izabelle puts Brylee to sleep by playing with her hair..this time Izabelle fell asleep...how sweet! Izabelle is going to be the PERFECT big sister when Mattie arrives.

Two Peas In A Bucket Shipment

This is the first time I ordered from Two Peas...I received my package today! I love getting packages!! I received Jenni Bowlin's monthly papercrafting kit and monthly project yesterday, two days in a row..PACKAGES!
In my Two Peas shipment I received: Heidi Swapp's Large Floral Bouquet Mask, Vine Mask, Doodlebug Designs Cupcake Silk Flowers, Lilac Silk Flowers, KI Memories Pink Tins-Trendy Tins, Queen & Co. Kissy Fit Hook Ups, Pink Big Brads and Black Big Brads.
Now Izabelle & I can make masks like Glenda Page taught about last month..we have been looking for these masks, but they were very difficult to get our hands on.

Altered Key Holder Class with Glenda Page

This turned out so cute..I had a lot of fun putting this together. I enjoyed seeing everyone's finished product! Glenda Page is doing a really, really cool class next month around the end of July..I was telling her I can't wait!! Then I realized that..Mattie might be here by then! Oh my goodness..just next month I might have a newborn baby in the house. Here come the tears again..I just can't wait to meet her!

Mango Cream Recipe

This recipe is for Izabelle's Guelita in Texas (Mango is her favorite!) and for anyone who has not tried this delicious fruit!

Mango Cream (1 serving)

If you haven't eaten mango, this is an easy way to introduce this delicious fruit into your diet. Pick a ripe mango that feels firm & smells good. Or you may be able to buy frozen mango which works fine for this recipe. For a festive touch, layer the mango cream with fresh berries in a parfait glass and top with chopped almonds.

Ingredients:
1 ripe mango
1/2 cup vanilla yogurt

Instructions:
Peel the mango and cut the ripe portion of the fruit into pieces. (The portion around the stone will be hard). Put the mango in a blender or food processor with the yogurt. Blend until smooth.

It's 9:45pm and Izabelle doesn't want to go to bed!

She has already adjusted to summer/vacation time! And already getting so tan! She loves the swimming pool, I think she might be part mermaid! (Ha Ha) We are down in the play room waiting for Richie to get home. She wants to scrapbook but I am too sleepy.

Friday night was too much fun! I got over being spooked. Yeah! I enjoyed the many, many laughs with Ann, Jann, Tracie, Ruth, Chelle, Dana & Sherri. Thanks to all of you for making me feel welcome.

I enjoyed myself so much that I returned today for Jann's Make-O Take-O (that's for Dana), then stayed to crop until 6pm. We laughed until our faces hurt! Looking forward to the next crop..everyone enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!

Doctor Appointment

We went to the Doctor's yesterday, just for a regular check-up. Mattie did not kick the instrument this time..I was prepared for it though. She tricked us all. We discussed (with the Dr) different medications for pain other than an epidural..well then we asked if they would effect the baby, Dr said that they could. If they did they would have to give Mattie a shot to reverse the effects of the drug. That is totally not an option. Now I am a little nervous (I mean a lot nervous)..I have always had an epidural, but those things have really messed up my back. I am pain free now because of Advocare products, but I still want to stay away from it. Rich & I start Labor Of Love classes June 20th. This class should really prepare me/us. Also my Aunt Cherry has had (2) boys naturally..she has really helped me with not being too scared. Any hoo...I am going to the Dr every (2) weeks now!!!! It won't be long now and little Mattie will be here. The excitement around this house is tremendous! I hope I can make it past my Baby Shower...July 16th, without going into labor. Keep your fingers crossed!

Just For Me Sibling Class

Izabelle was a little shy to go to the front of the class alone..so BIG brother came to her rescue and went with her. He is so sweet!!

Izabelle learned to diaper & swaddle a baby..she even received a certificate for it! She learned how to support the baby's head correctly, to ask permission from an adult first before holding the baby and to wash your hands first. Her job after Mattie comes home will be to remind any visitors to wash their hands first before handling her baby sister.
