She used to have a bad habit of getting herself backed into a corner by her opponent..so during her last belt test..Chogunem..put {4} people on her!! Yes {4}!..needless to say..she got herself out. That's my girl!

It is just about to start raining..so I just went outside real quick to take a picture of Mattie in this sweet little dress from A.C.T.G.F. Too sweet!!

Good Drugs!

Ha! Just thought I would be funny..since Renee wanted to know. The numbness wore off by 2:00pm..I ate lunch at Cinco De Mayo and took 800 mg of Ibuprofen (around 1:30pm)..just in case..I sure didn't want to start hurting. Took 800 mg more around 5pm..I went to Taekwondo..it is now 10:30pm and I feel pretty good..but I am gonna hit 800 more mg before I go to bed..just in case. I tell you what I don't think I have ever been that numb..my left ear was numb!! Doc had to give me extra shots 'cause my body wasn't cooperating..he even gave me a shot down in the tooth that he drilled out for the root canal..sounds frightening but I needed the extra 2 shots..I think I had 4-5 shots..rub on numbing stuff and happy gas! Me & my Aunt Cherry love our happy gas..Tee Hee!! I spoke with my sweet, cute, great dancin' cousin tonight..just thought I would give you a shout out..love ya!! *smooch*

Hint: When your dentist tells you that you need a crown..don't wait until it needs a root canal. Just thought I would share that with you. Ha! Oh & if you are looking for a great dentist (my kids love our dentist & are never scared to go visit him) call me!!

P.S. Hey Sylvester..look around in the medicine cabinet when your mommy isn't looking and look for a bottle that reads I-B-U-P-R-O-F-E-N..I think it will help.. Hee Hee!

LaFaye {News}

Guess What?! Mattie took her first step on Sunday afternoon..it was very small..but it was a step..we all were so excited!!!!!

Thanks to all my blogger friends that placed an Avon order..it was greatly appreciated. My goal is to earn President's Club (C#14-C#17)..so keep me in mind! I am on the right track..as Renee or London Tipton would say "Go me!"

This morning me, Izabelle & Mattie went to see a "free movie"..Charlotte's Web..what a cute movie.! This was Mattie's second movie..she slept through most of it again.

Tomorrow I will be getting a root canal..Rrrrrrr! Let's see..I am nervous..nervous..nervous.

Lots of stuff to do this week {Thursday, Friday & Sunday}..I really need to start getting ready for vacation. What I am thinkin?

Oh..you can't have news without the weather..we have had some much needed rain. Maybe the grass will turn green again..'cause right now it is an ugly shade of brown.

Today is...

..our {4th} Anniversary & Annie's {50th} Birthday!!!

Rich was off yesterday..so we celebrated last night..he surprised me with dinner at Flemings! When we arrived at 7:00p..our waiter {a buddy of Rich's} had {huge} shrimp cocktail & garlic toast with dips already waiting for us at our table. Our waiter introduced me to a new wine {Franciscan Cabernet Sauvignon/Vintage 2004}..I usually drink Merlot..but this was very good..first..or I should say after our appetizers..we enjoyed the cheese sampler with fruits & nuts..for dinner..Rich had a Cajun rib eye, potatoes au gratin, creamed spinach & {huge} onion rings..I had fillet Mignon with a lobster tail & potatoes au gratin {these were made with sliced potatoes, then dipped in buttermilk, cheese and jalapeno peppers without the seeds..delicious!}..Trae had steak with a baked potato & Izabelle had steak with fries. Then we had a dessert sampler delivered with cheesecake, creme brulee, ice cream, chocolate cake with chocolate pudding inside & homemade whipped cream.
We found out that Jon Bon Jovi had sat at the exact table we were sitting at..there were approximately 15-16 in his group..we were told that their bill at the end of the night was somewhere around $10,000.00!! Geesh! What's the tip on that?!

So at the end of the evening..Rich hands me a card..that says: You are my beginning and my end, you are my dream and my reality...you are the love of my life..{it is a musical card} & it sings {My Endless Love}..needless to say I CRIED..he is a giant sweetheart!! I think I will keep him. *wink*

These were taken yesterday at Dana's house..Izabelle had a blast! Thanks Dana!!!! There were about 12 kids there..Dana let the kids make sundaes...oh..and the adults made sundaes also..yummo!!!

All four of us have a dentist appointment this morning @ 10:00a..and I haven't even showered yet..Rrrr..no makeup for me today.


Rich installed a swing for Mattie this weekend..SHE LOVES IT!! He hung it under the deck. Sweet!

My babies..oh & one furry one..this was taken Monday morning right after Izabelle got home..oh..and the hair that you see on Izabelle is now gone..she has a new doo! Will post pics later.

Mattie's high chair & party hat arrived on Monday..this highchair ROCKS!! Did I mention that it is pink? *wink*

Fun-filled {Father's Day}!

Gosh..where do I begin?
Rich called me Saturday evening from work and told me that the GSM over the entire store came up to him and thanked Rich for being such a great employee and that he appreciates all that Rich does for the company. Anyhoo..the GSM extends his hand out to Rich to shake hands, and he wishes Rich a Happy Father's Day..well..the GSM had cash in the palm of his hand..it was $150.00!!! He told Rich that he wanted our family to enjoy the special day on him. What a special blessing to receive!

So yesterday morning we went to Ellendale's...yummo! Rich loves, loves their breakfast/brunch buffet on the weekends..if you have not had the privilege to dine here..it is a must! Mattie was wearing a dress from her Aunt Sherri that lives in Alabama..she received so many compliments on her dress..just thought I would share that for you Aunt Sherri. *smile*


After we ate at Ellendale's we came home and Mattie & I crashed..from 12:30p-3:00p..I never do that..but I must have needed it..Rich went to the gym while we slept. When Rich returned..he read a book to Mattie..{McDuff & The Baby} - (from A.C.T.G.F.) Mattie loves books and she turns pages so nicely.

We were expecting Trae home at 6:00p..but we were so happy when he pulled up in our driveway at 3:30p! Trae went immediately for Mattie..but I said..oh no..you come here and give me a hug! He laughed!
So Rich, Trae, Mattie & I headed out for dinner..Rich chose NYPD Pizza/Providence Place..let me save you some money if you have never been..YUCK!!! None of us liked it..don't waist your time. So then we went to the Marble Slab Creamery..and enjoyed some yummy treats!

And..after ice cream..I took a late 10 months pic of Mattie..{10 months & 1 day}.

well..I actually took about 6 pics! Isn't she a doll baby?

Izabelle came home this morning around 7:45a..needless to say..I am all smiles this morning..all my babies are home!

Today Mattie is {10} months!
Yesterday she had her first "cookie"...Famous Amos Vanilla Cream Filled..& she can put the entire cookie in her mouth..her father is a.k.a "The Cookie Monster"..so I know where she gets it from! *Ha*!
We have a lot of running to do today..Avon deliveries (1st one @ 10:00am), Avon meeting @ 2:00pm, Father's Day gift to buy, etc. etc.
Scrap'n Memories called me yesterday..to tell me that I won the May contest! *Cool*! More free money! I had {28} votes from customers on the "Wish Blowers" l/o.

Thursday's Events

After I ordered Mattie's party hat..I found this (below) @ Target.com for $59.99..what a deal..I have been looking at highchairs for Mattie for awhile now..we currently have a highchair that fits in a diningroom chair..but we only have 4 chairs & there are 5 of us..so I ordered this highchair for her yesterday..it was a great deal & IT'S PINK!!!! *wink*

Thanks for all your comments about wishing us luck at the belt test..gosh I didn't realize that I had so many readers...{NOT}! My 1 faithful reader came through though..Thanks Renee *smile*

Izabelle is now upper yellow..that is a yellow belt with an orange stripe & she won another medal! Rich & I are now upper white..that is a white belt with a yellow stripe..(we have some color now!) I didn't get to see Izabelle do her form or break wood..I had to get home & change for my test at 7..Izabelle's class test runs 2 hours because there are so many students. So no pics..BUT..my friend Emily that held Mattie while Rich & I tested took a group shot (she has 2 girls that take TKD) of Izabelle & her class..so she will be getting me a copy..so thankful for that! Next time I am going to hire a sitter from like 4:30p-8:30p..so that I can be hands free and will just get dressed early instead of getting dressed in the middle of Izabelle's test. Anyhoo..I tell you what..testing is hard!!! It is everything that we are used to..but..you move at a very fast pass..we were dripping with sweat by 7:30p..we did the physical test, forms, self defense, sparring & then when it came to breaking the wood..my stomach felt like it was going to drop out of my butt! Rich did really good..then..I went up to break my board & I thought I am going down..I thought that I was going down..as in pass out..but I did a palm stike with my hand and went right through it..Mr. Smith's (Chogunem) eyes were as big as a saucer..I don't think that he was expecting me to go through the board on the first hit..but I did! Mike..another guy that takes class with us..said that I had this look of fear on my face when I hit! How funny..that would of made a great pic I guess! Ha!!!

Mattie's {1st} Birthday is..

..right around the corner! It is so hard to believe that is has almost been a year. I really need to start planning..I am setting the date for: Sunday, August 12th @ 1:00pm..so out of town family..mark your calendars..we would love to have you here..we will probably grill some burgers & hot dogs and have some yummy, yummy cake! I need to start preparing the invitation list & invitations.

I just ordered this sweet..sweet birthday hat for Mattie. Oh my goodness..I can wait to get pictures of her in this!

I received an e-mail yesterday from the Secret Sister's coordinator..and I have been assigned a Secret Sister..this is going to be so much fun! I can't wait to get started..I need to go out & find something special to send to her..maybe Mattie & I will go do that today!

Mattie & I went to cool Renee's to swim in her cool pool! Annie & J. were there also! Lots of fun-fun-fun..thanks cool Renee!!!!!!

Monday with Mattie

As most of you know..Trae & Izabelle are gone visiting to their dad's..for a week..*sigh*..so Mattie & I are just enjoying eachother's company..so far this morning we did some laundry & re-arranged the kitchen..we put a little play area at one end of the kitchen & I brought a queen anne chair up from the den & moved the kitchen table to the center of the kitchen. Mattie has been playing all morning..I took some pics of her playing..I think we might go out in a little bit & look for some new cloth napkins for the table..(I still have the egg topiaries out) and buy a new centerpiece for the kitchen table..I am thinking Hobby Lobby..I wonder if they carry cloth napkins?..I hired a babysitter to watch Mattie for 1 1/2 hours tonight & Tuesday night & Wednesday night..so I can go to TKD class..Thursday I have a belt test..my friend Emily is going to sit with Mattie and watch me..geesh!..it has been a long time since I hired a sitter..oh..wait a minute I don't think I have ever hired a sitter..other than daycare..anyhoo..for 4 1/2 hours total..it will cost me $45.00..$15.00 a day..but we know her & her family & she has CPR training..etc..etc. Earlier this morning Mattie & I watched Montel..I cried..they talked about children dying while at daycare..abused by a caregiver..I am so thankful that I don't have to send my children to daycare. Very thankful!


Mattie was crawling into the livingroom..I said "Come back Mattie"..so she turns around and waves..and she waves correctly..not the backwards wave..she is so smart!

We bought Mattie some more panties last night..she helped me put them up in the cabinet in the livingroom..ugh..I just realized that these things have box tops..and I have been throwing them away..oh well..you learn something new everyday.

So..Mattie started feeding herself yesterday! Like the little finger foods for babies. Before she would always give Toto bites..but would never give herself a bite. She is so proud of herself when she puts food in her mouth..she just giggles. This pic was taken yesterday late morning. I love this pic..'cause it shows her 2 little teeth real well!

These pics were taken this morning..while I was on the phone with my Aunt Cherry..we were both laughing..listening to Mattie squeal..& then poop...she is so loud when she poops..she makes everyone laugh. Oh..and Aunt Cherry..Rich & I were having the baby talk today..and it turns out we are not on the same page..Rich thought that I wanted to deliver a baby when Mattie turns 2..not get pregnant when Mattie turns 2..so..hmmm? Maybe? Soon! I have no problem getting on his page..so maybe this September?? *wink*

#13 l/o for the 25 by August 1st contest..I made this Monday night?..then submitted it on Tuesday..I found out that I am the only one with 13 l/o's..the rest of the participants..I think there might be 6-8 of us..are not really into this challenge..so I have completely lost my motivation..I mean..I seriously doubt that the owner of Scrap'n Memories..is going to have a big party..for 1 person.
Anyhoo! This is my little Izabelle having tea with her Guelita at The Flower Tea Room..last year when I was pregnant with little Mattie.
I used a JBS kit from 2006..I have no idea what month..I have a bad habit of buying kits and hoarding them..so I am trying really hard to get them used.Oh & the rub-ons..I think from S.E.I...Rrrrr! these things were causing my blood pressure to rise..I had all my 145 lbs. pressed down on these things and they wouldn't lift?..but as you can see I won!!! Ha!

Every evening..

..Gram enjoys having hot tea with 2 Splendas & milk..oh and I can't forget..she likes cookies with her tea..the only cookies I had in the house were graham crackers..she didn't seem to mind at all..she will be 96 in October..she simply amazes me!

Long Time..No Post

O.K. this is going to be a long one..so make sure you have gone to the bathroom, and get you something to drink & something to munch on if you get hungry! Ha! Ha! No seriously..you think I'm kiddin'?

Let's see here..once upon a time..like Memorial Day, May 28th..My Dad & his wife, Denise came to visit us from Oregon..for those of you that are already confused..well..God gave me two Dad's..that's all I am gonna say about that! He bought & installed a new sink, faucet & garbage disposal for me..he replaced some parts on all the toilets that needed replacing..he put fresh sand in Izabelle's sandbox..and put the old sand under my 10-12 ft. deck and started laying the stepping stones that I have had in my garage for..oh..before I was pregnant with Mattie. Can you tell he gets board easily?! Anyhoo..we rented a really cool pontoon with a bathroom, grill & slide..F-U-N...Trae had exams so we drove Rich back to the dock around 10:30am..so he could go pick up Trae at 11:11am from the High School..then they called us and we came back to pick them back up. What a beautiful day it was..

Mattie would not go to sleep for any of us..so Trae tried..and..out she went..he usually can put her to sleep when no one else can.

Bobbin' for bobbers! Denise kept snagging her line on something..so Dad would jump in and un-snag it for her..she says..you know that it is true love when a man will jump in after your bobber! He rescued her bobber 3 times!

Izabelle put her mini boogie board in the lake and layed Barbie on it..then Izabelle went down the slide and was going to get her Barbie and bring it back to the boat..well..change of plans..a fish must have brushed her leg..so she starts screaming " A GIANT CATFIFH!!!" "A GIANT CATFISH!!"..she starts hyperventilating..and she leaves Barbie behind..so when she gets back on the boat..she informs us that we need to get Barbie..we had already anchored and started cooking..so we just left her at sea/lake..well the further Barbie & the boogie board got the more Izabelle pouted..& my Dad thought for sure that he was going to be billed for the counseling sessions she was going to need..Ha!..so we pulled anchor and began the Barbie Search & Rescue..(see photo)

Oh...this was taken on the 27th..we went to H.H. park with some of the family and had a picnic..Izabelle played in the water while we were there..she said she was "clam digging"..she brought back these shells..like a mini clam..not sure what they were? Here she is cleaning them.

The other day I was browsing around Danielle Bean's blog and she had a link on there:

Hillbilly Housewife..anyhoo..she talks about feeding a family of 4/5 for $45.00 a week! Well..I thought hmmm? maybe I am doing something wrong..so I took a peek at her menu..I Don't Think So!!! They drink powered milk..we drink organic milk..they eat hot dogs that cost .89..we eat hot dogs that cost $5.00..they buy 3 lbs. of butter for like a dollar something..our organic butter for a little tub is 3 something..now I know why our bill is so much higher..so after I was done amusing myself with all of this...I decided that I would try to be better about buying food that we need..not just because I think that I might fix it..I had my picky eaters sit down and create a list of dinner items that they would eat..this was Izabelle's list:
