Christmas Tag!

I have been tagged by Hollye!

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Egg Nog.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? He wraps them..duh!

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? I like white lights on the Christmas tree & both colored & white on the house..but don't get crazy like National Lampoon's Christmas..just keep it simple.

4.Do you hang mistletoe? Nope..But I have often thought about it..if I knew where to get some fresh..I probably would make the effort to go and purchase some!

5. When do you put up your decorations? After Thanksgiving.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish? Green bean casserole

7. Favorite holiday memory as a child? The only thing that comes to my mind..is when I lived in Michigan and my dad built me an igloo{out of snow}! It was awesome!!!!!!

8. When and how did you learn that Santa isn't real? Hmmm?..What?...I still hear the bells & music..I don't understand the question..because Santa is real..silly!

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? We do the Christmas Pickle on Christmas Eve..with the kids..we have {2} glass pickle ornaments..Rich & I hide them on the tree..and Trae & Izabelle {and next year Mattie}..have to find them..and when they do..they get to open a gift!

10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? The big {green} tree in the den/scraproom is decorated with a great assortment of ornaments..from ornaments that I made as a kid to ornaments that Trae & Izabelle have made..baby's first Christmas..ornaments that we have collected every year{we purchase an ornament every year}, etc. Also we put up a white tree with blue lights and blue, white & silver ornaments..this is Rich's favorite tree!

11. Snow! Love it or dread it? I miss it..we had beautiful snow in Michigan..not this yucky muddy icing junk you get here!

12. Can you ice skate? I think so..I haven't been on ice skates since I lived in Michigan{1982}?

13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Terrible I know...but nothing comes to mind; I don't recall a lot of childhood memories..I wish I did.

14. What's the most important thing about the holidays for you? Just being together..and I love waking up and seeing the children's faces...opening their gifts..it is worth more that all the gold in the entire world..ya know!!

15. What is your favorite holiday dessert? Grandma P: Chocolate Pie

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Gosh..to many! Driving to see the Christmas lights..making a Gingerbread house..making ornaments, Advent Calendar, baking cookies, get togethers with friends, Christmas parade and seeing Santa!
