I recently found out that Avon does not allow Independent Avon Sales Representatives to link their web site on personal blogs, FaceBook, MySpace, or other social networking page, etc.
I have seen hundreds of places where Avon web sites are linked illegally..but I don't want to get my title removed..I have worked way too hard. So I am removing my link to my Avon website.
Thank you to everyone for your support!
*Update*: I discovered this while I was reading the Avon reference guide(and making some phone calls to Avon)..I was looking for the correct wording to use in a {Help Wanted} ad in a local newspaper..and there it was in black and white. I do realize that my blog is private..but rules are rules. I am currently a President's Club Member and also a Unit Leader with two generations under me..I just don't want to risk that.

wow, seems like they would want you to link as that is more business for them...
Avon has always been very careful to present a wholesome image. They probably don't want their company name linked to anyone who doesn't convey the same kind of image. You're doing the right thing, Jilly. Besides, Avon practically sells itself! Aunt Suzy-Q
I agree with both comments. You wuold think Avon would want more business, but if it's linked to a questionable site, that's not good for them either. All of us know you are an Avon rep, so you will be fine. Plus I'm sure you could legally do a blog about Avon every once in awhile.
Wow ... who knew? Good idea about removing it.
Wow..I didn't know that either.Good luck with your sales I know that you will still sell bunches:))
how did you learn that? I don't see why you can't leave it especially beings your blog is private
THis is a test
Good for you for following the rules, but it sure is too bad that they don't allow the link....
