What a dark..gloomy day..But a good day for taking Christmas decorations down! {yes..I am just now getting around to that}..Need to go to Wal-Mart; I will do that later tonight..I took a pic of the Christmas cards I received in 2006..I just hate throwing them away..they are so pretty!..I read earlier in a scrapbooking magazine about how to save them forever!..scan them onto a disc and then incorporate it on a Christmas Card Layout!..cool idea..Also here is a pic of Mattie's First Christmas ornament..I had a hard time finding a nice one{Izabelle has porcelain baby shoes from Dept. 56 for her first ornament & Trae's is silver} but I found this little diaper bag ornament and turned it into a Baby's First Christmas ornament..it has 2006 on the back that I cut out with my Cricut machine..I always buy a new Christmas ornament every year..the Gingerbread Man sitting on the cupcake is the one I bought in 2006..from Hobby Lobby..@ 50% off!..Izabelle made {2} handmade ornaments this year: Baby Jesus in a walnut shell & Christmas Tree..and......my Advent Calendar..again..I just hate to put this thing to bed..in that dark, lonely Christmas closet..I am thinking about hanging it in my scrapbook room for inspiration to remind me to work on the {60} Advent Calendars I would like to have made by the end of October 2007..to sell in a craft fair at a local elementary school. Yes!..that's it..I will hang it in my scrapbook room! Good idea...thanks!! Ha Ha!
O.K. I must get the 2nd tree down..so I got-sta go for now!

wow...I am impressed with the energy it takes to take down the ornaments! You go girl!
I think the Advent Calendar is a good idea to keep in front of you for the next few months....just my idea. Have a great week.
Finished taking my nativity sets down this morning and went to Walmart too...brilliant minds, I tell ya.
wow 60 calenders huh???? you could also make yourself one for every month to hang in your scraproom???!!! and include birthdays and anniversaries, etc on them?!
my trees left the house last night! yippeee now I have a bunch of christmas stuff on the dining room table that needs to be put away!
cute ornaments!
another idea for your christmas cards is to use a big square punch and punch out a square of each one and use on a layout.. (Ali Edwards did this) also you could use a tag as a template and cut out a tag shape out of each one and tie them together with ribbon and tuck in a pocket on a layout or just hang it in your scraproom....I could come up with other ideas, but that is just 2 for now.
