So {the secret} has had both Rich & I just itching to tell Trae..but we have been good for almost 3 weeks! We found a great deal..then we did several things to get it ready to present to Trae..steam cleaning the interior, new tires, oil change, wax & buff the paint, new stereo..etc. So yesterday we couldn't stand it any longer..Izabelle, Mattie & I had lunch with Rich yesterday after my morning Avon meeting..so Rich drove Trae's surprise home..I contacted Trae (that was supposed to be participating in Marching Band after school) told him that I needed to pick him up ASAP..so we got home..Trae had no idea that Rich was home..Rich parked Trae's surprise in the garage..backed in so he could see the front of it first..anyhoo..I told Trae that I was having trouble with the garage door..and that he needed to stay outside by the door & I would go inside and try to open it from inside the garage..so he agreed. Rich & I were giggling so hard in the garage..so then I asked Trae..are you ready..I am going to try to open the garage door...he said Ok. Well when that door opened & he saw that Black 2000 Ford Mustang sitting there..he was speechless..I remember him asking us at one point..is it mine?..we said..well yeah!

So he quickly jumps in his 'stang to check everything out! Isn't he a cutie!?
Rich pulled it out of the garage for Trae..Rich had it parked a little sideways in there..so that Trae could get a great first view of it.

Wow, Jill that is awsome! I don't know Trae but from everything you've said about him, he seems like the kind of kid who would genuinely appreciate what you & Rich did for him.

His 16th birthday was April 27th.

What a wonderful surprise! My parents did that for my brother years ago...a vintage mustang, red. Needed a little work but it was way cool...

WOW.. what a great surpise. I hope when my son is of age I am able to do something like this for him.. I know he was too happy
Jill- What a great thing you all got to do for Trae...I am sure he is walking three feet off the ground..and his head is bumping the clouds! Pulling the surprise off is almost as fun as the actual PRIZE...but not quite -- the look on his face is PRICELESS! Another memory to treasure...a great one!
